Pole weapon Top & Bottom Spike – £25 each
![]() | For students of Fiore dei Liberi, Pietro Monte, Paulus Kals and Hans Talhoffer, simulating a Polearm with a top and / or bottom spike has long been a problem, the thrust with either end of the poleaxe being an integeral part of these techniques. This item is intended for use as a compliment to the Polehammer head. The spike can be placed at the top of the weapon to simulate the “dague dessus” or at the bottom, to simulate the “dague dessous”. The tip of the spike flexes, as the head is hollow for part of its length. The tip will compress on impact, or fold with a less perfect strike, easing the force communicated to your partner. The spike features a compression-fit 1″ mounting hole that will fit on round, square or octagonal ash poles commonly used in European Martial Arts weapons. * Please note these tips are not suitable for LRP where a much larger surface area and amount of direct compression is required. |
Rubber Polehammer head – £25
![]() ![]() | The Polehammer / Poleaxe is featured in historical treatises such as Hans Talhoffer’s 1467 fechtbuch, Fiore dei Liberi’s Fior di Battaglia, Filippo Vadi’s Arte Gladiatoria and in many iconographical references for feats of arms and duels during the 15th century, this deadly weapon was meant for punching through armour, tearing it loose from rivet and strap, or driving concussive blows through a defender’s helmet. The Hammer head is firm enough to enable hooks, both the hammer and spike side are pierced to allow for compression. The hammer side also tapers, so that on impact it will just slightly fold, giving even more. * Please note this item is not suitable for LARP where greater compression and bend is required |
Rubber Rondel Dagger – £25
| 14th – 15th century Medieval Rubber Training Dagger. Training in close-quarter work can be dangerous, the Rubber Rondel dagger is designed to increase the margin of safety over wooden models while capturing the weight and feel of the originals. Made from high-impact, high quality dense rubber, this dagger is based on those found in Hans Talhoffer and Fiore dei Liberi’s treatises. Overall length is 14″, tapering from 1″ to a 5/8″ ball. The handle is ribbed as seen in some surviving examples. The tip will fold over to reduce the chance of accidental injury. * Please note that this dagger is not suitable for LRP where a greater area of compression and bend is required. |
