Late medieval buckle shoe – £50.00

Available in Black. Based on a late medieval ankle boot, these boots have been crafted with an eye for detail – hand stitching provides reinforcement around the top and opening, while correct buckles serve to fasten the boot.

These shoes are sturdy, well made, will last well and are exceedingly comfortable they can also accommodate a wide variety of foot widths. Unlike turn-shoes, they can be repaired when required at any cobblers. Sizes are US so add at least one shoe size to your UK shoe size.

14th century shoes – £50

These shoes, based on a simplified version of a 14th century low boot, have been crafted to what we make a fine compromise between authenticity, function and cost and are constructed for sturdy wear. While not a turnshoe of the kind common prior to 1500, these shoes will last well and are very close in terms of correct appearance. They are exceedingly comfortable and can accommodate a wide variety of foot widths, due to their lacing closures. Unlike turn-shoes, they can be repaired if required at any cobblers. Sizes are US so add at least one shoe size to your UK shoe size.

Ladies 14th century turn shoe – 40.00

These turnshoes are comfortable and accurate. Made from a thinner, high-grade leather closer to historical weight than our the low boot. Made with correct medieval tunnel-stitching, sewn inside-out using stitches documented in “SHOES & PATTENS”, then turned and finished. The shoe design is drawn from a late 14th century find a Dordrecht, DDT 10, and the buckle is a sculpted after models from the period.

These shoes are sleek and comfortable, well-fitting and true to size. If you wear a half size normally, you may wish to go up to the next whole size. Sizes are US so add at least one shoe size to your UK shoe size
