Standard Game Rules
Getting hit
- When shot, a loud call of ‘HIT’ should be made and the player is considered out of game
- When hit the player must place their hand in the air to show they are not live
- A hit is anywhere on the body or the gun
- Ricochets should also be taken as a hit
- Dead players ‘DO NOT TALK’
Respawns
- Dead players should make their way to a live team mate or re-spawn point and take a loud, slow 10 second count to become live again
- The re-spawn must be stationery and the dead player must place one hand on the shoulder of the live player or one hand on the re-spawn point during the ten second count
- Do not respawn in the middle of a firefight!
Goggles
- Goggles must be worn at all times when outside of the Safe Zone unless a marshal calls an area safe
- DO NOT TAKE YOUR GOGGLES OFF DURING A GAME!
- If your goggles fall off for any reason or are damaged, place your hands over your eyes and call man down. The game will be stopped and a marshal will come to your aid
- We strongly recommend full-face masks
Pyro
- Pyros must not be thrown at a live target
- You must be able to see the area you are throwing the pyro, no blind throwing over buildings or into scrubland bushes
- Pyros clear a whole building
- Pyros have a 5m radius outside – cover has no effect
- If you set off a mine or claymore, then it counts as a hit
- Any heavy cased pyro (BFG) must be under armed rolled 5m or dropped.
- Any explosive mines/tripwires must have the explosive facing away from the trigger (wire for example)
- BB Claymores and powermines must not be set up to hit above 3ft for goggle safety
Mission Based Lives
- Attackers have infinite lives and re-spawn from a team mate and/or respawn point
- Defenders have 2 lives – the first is off a team mate, the second is off a respawn point. This continues until the mission is over. Respawn points may change as the mission progresses
Site Safety
- When entering buildings take care, as the floors may be slippery
- Do not climb on the buildings or scramble over rubble piles
- The woodland and scrubland areas have been allowed to go wild so mind your footing and low branches
Out of bound areas
- Any buildings that have been red taped, or had the doorways blocked up must not be entered
- Do not go into any of the fields adjacent to the gaming areas
- Do not shoot at the livestock
Gun Safety
- At point blank range, a single shot is sufficient
- When entering buildings, guns should be lowered to prevent headshots
- Guns should not be fired for more than a 3 second burst to prevent overkill
- No blind firing, be sure you have a target to shoot at
The Bang Rule
If you have managed to get the jump on someone, you may use the bang call to reduce the chance of injury. This can only be made at extremely close range (5m or less) and the callers gun must be fully operational.
Under 16’s
- Must wear full face masks
- Cannot use Pyros of any kind
Honour
Airsoft is a game of TRUST and at Gunman we take this very seriously, we do NOT allow shooting to a yield or cheating.
If you’re hit first you’re the one that needs a respawn.
Airsoft is a realistic combat simulation experience and NOT paintball.
Whistle Blows & Game Calls
Whistle Blows:
1 – Start the game
2 – Warning
3 – Game Over/Stop Game
Verbal Calls:
- Game Over – Whistle has been blown 3 full times – go safe, remove magazines from guns and clear chambers, DO NOT remove goggles
- Man Down – Game play must stop and all participants are to stay where they are until one blast of the whistle starts the game again or a Marshall calls the game to an end
- Fire – There is a fire – all participants are to stay where they are until a Marshall calls the game to play on or to an end, in which case everyone makes their way to the nearest site entry gate
Lastly, the Marshall’s word is final!
