Beer Bread

so my previous post about bread seems to have mysteriously vanished down the sink - my apologies i’m still getting used to how this all works.

Any how here it all is again

So one of the things I enjoyed making the most for the game last weekend was the beer bread.  Honestly it couldn’t have been more easy.  Ive been asked for the recipe, I don’t mind sharing, so here it is:

You will need 330ml of your favourite beer, we used some of Churchend Brewery’s fine selection (What The Fox and their porter Gravedigger), 375g of self-raising flour and 3 teaspoons of sugar.  Mix them all together in a large bowl and mix together with a spoon rather than a mixer.  Pour it into a lined bread tin, and top it off with a generous drizzle of melted butter.  Bake at 180°C/360°F for about 50 minutes, or until golden and crisp on top.  It always smells amazing and freezes well.
